About Allison

A self-proclaimed "sex geek", I am passionate about sexual health and educating people so they feel empowered to make healthy decisions.

I have been educating people all around the world about sex since 2003. I got started in Vancouver, Canada, did a Masters in Sexual Health in Sydney, Australia, worked in London, England, and am now back in my hometown of Vancouver again.

I have expert training in sex education, contraception and family planning, HIV/AIDS, sexual function and dysfunction, puberty and sexual development, and relationships and decision-making skills.

I have worked in many different environments over the years. From telephone counselling and sexual health education to research and program evaluation.

I have also made many contributions to the published world of sexual health. Results from my Masters thesis were published in an academic journal, I was the advice columnist for the website Morning Quickie for several years, I've been a guest speaker on many radio programs, and I have been consulted on various magazine articles.

I am currently in the process of planning a workshop educating people about fertility. This can help people to plan a pregnancy, avoid a pregnancy, or just learn about how their bodies work.

If you are interested in contacting me for sex advice, as an educator, researcher, or for any other purpose, my email is:

allison.healtheducator@gmail.com

I will endeavour to answer all enquiries within two business days.

Thanks so much and I look forward to working with you!
Allison
