Funding Cut from Breast Cancer Clinic in Orange County after 9 Years

Funding has been cut to the American Planned Parenthood in Orange County for a Breast Health Clinic. Insurmountable legal barriers have now been erected so this important clinic will most likely not be able to operate. Click here for the article.

And this all because the funders (Health Care Agency HCA) recently found out that the Planned Parenthood also receives funding for sexual health education. The funders have previously been funding Planned Parenthood for 9 years!

I think this must be the result of an ever increasing conservative climate around sexual health and fear in America of anything to do with sex because surely the HCA would have done some research on Planned Parenthood in the last five years.

I hope this climate begins to change soon because it is appaling that women with cancer should suffer because some bureaucrat decides that he doesn't agree with sex education (something that should be required in every school and is an essential part of a good health education and of which breast health is a part of!).
